The dramatic but captivating view of the dark beach with the light reflecting in the wet sand makes this a powerful piece of art. It's minimalistic and dynamic—perfect for an office space or even a living room wall.

SILVER BEACH – Photo Print

PriceFrom 38,00€
  • I arrived too late to catch the sun setting in the sea, which happens at around 9 PM in late August in my region. But the orange and pink dusk light held the sky in its grip for a couple of hours after sunset.

It was around 8 degrees Celsius (46°F) when I arrived. It was calm in the air but it had been windy during the day so the sea was still raging and threw waves violently against the flat rocks. I experimented with different camera settings in order to get the right blurriness in the moving water. As it washed the edge of the beach the water the wet sand reflected the skylight, creating this silvery look.

I didn’t think much about it after capturing it, but as I edited the photo the day after I realized it was one of my best photos from that night. At midnight it started getting darker …
