The trees of the mountains in northern Finland get this thick snow cover every winter, making them look like silent creatures. An astonishing sight to see live and almost just as astonishing on a photo print.

DAYDREAM – Photo Print

PriceFrom 65,00€
  • In 2021 I went to Northern Finland for the first time in years. My expectations were high. I had images in my mind that I hoped I could capture during our week in this little village called Syöte.

The first days turned out to be very foggy. But then came a day when the sun was shining from a clear blue sky. There were lots of snow and the light became so intense it was painful without your sunglasses.

The whole scenery became two-colored: blue and white, like the Finnish flag.

I took my camera on a ride or two down the slopes. I was very focused (no pun intended) and shot like crazy to collect as much of this winter beauty as I possibly could.

I can’t imagine winter being more beautiful than this. The snow covered spruces (sometimes called snowy popcorn trees) stood like mystical silent creatures overlooking the landscape…
